Get Help

Everyone Deserves a Violence-Free Life.

The decision to seek help is not easy. If you’re trying to decide whether or not to leave, you may be feeling uncertain, frightened, and torn. Maybe you even blame yourself for the abuse or feel embarrassed because you’ve stayed. Don’t be trapped by confusion, guilt, or self-blame. The only thing that matters is your safety.

If you are being abused, remember: You are not to blame for being battered or mistreated. You are not the cause of your partner’s abusive behavior. You deserve to be treated with respect. You deserve a safe and happy life. Your children deserve a safe and happy life. You are not alone. There are people waiting to help.

What is ScrapDV?

The SCRAP DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, INC. (ScrapDV) Fund began with an idea to use scrap steel as a funding source for domestic violence purposes. Mining, industrial, and manufacturing companies along with private donors will entrust ScrapDV to combine their gifts with the contributions of others to invest in innovative and proven domestic violence programs to create lasting, empowering change. In addition, ScrapDV will also invest in communities showing the initiative to begin such programs. The process of investing through this fund includes an informed review by ScrapDV dedicated, trained members who help to ensure the most positive impact possible with the dollars invested.

The ScrapDV Fund Grants Program is how we make strategic investments to drive measurable, effective, sustainable change for domestic violence awareness programs in Nevada.
